P454/21 Hardriders

THIS IS A TEMPORARY COURSE FOR 2007 ONLY

Meeting point for club events: Riders meet and sign on for races in the layby immediately on leaving the village of Wool on the B3071. There is a short ride to the start, so to allow the time keepers to be ready to begin the race on time, all riders must have signed on at least 10 minutes before the start of the race.

Course description: Start on B3071 at finger post opposite unclassified road from New Buildings (SY842846). Proceed south on B3071 to junction with B3070 signposted East Lulworth (SY835816) 2.01 miles. Turn left on B3071 through East Lulworth 3.81 miles (CARE through village) to West Holme crossroads (SY886855) 6.44miles. Bear left taking slip road (CARE) into Holme Lane and continue into Bindon Lane to junction with B3071 at Wool (SY846869) 9.3 miles. Bear left on B3071 High Street and continue past Start (10.75 miles) to cover a second lap of the circuit. Finish at start point on completion of second lap 21.5 miles.

Course notes: This is a stop-gap course for 2007 which uses a road race circuit from the Tour of Dorset. It is also used as the P454 42km course with different start and finish points.
