Sunday Training Runs
Club members ride together every Sunday throughout the year, although during the racing season from March to September, numbers attending can be depleted. You will need to be able to ride for about 3 hours and be able to maintain a pace of around 15+mph. Rides will usually contain a stop and aim to be over by lunchtime.
There is still a run most sundays from the Top o Town car park in Dorchester starting at 9am. You will need to be able to ride for about 3 hours and be able to maintain a pace of around 15mph (much easier in a group than it is on your own).
The club run is a great way to get involved (although you don't have to be a member to participate), meet other riders, and build fitness for sportives, time trialling and road racing.
Details of all rides are usually posted on the club forum, which you will need to join if you are interested in taking part.
Young people who are 16 or younger
Adults responsible for unaccompanied riders aged 16 or under that want to take part in the Sunday club runs must contact Andrew Preston on 07768 441796, giving at least one week's notice. Safety of young people is paramount, and the adults on a club run may not always be able to allow children to join - so prior contact is essential to avoid disappointment.
