CLUB CLOTHING NOW ON SMALL ADS.....

14 May

At the 2008 AGM a resolution was passed that to qualify for any club award, members (Juniors and New members excepted) had to volunteer to time keep an event prior to the season starting. There are currently a number of members collecting club championship points that have not volunteered their services. The committee have debated this situation and while it does not have the power to amend the AGM resolution, have decided to take the following action in an effort to keep the events running as planned and fill the blank weeks. Therefore any members yet to volunteer should contact Michelle Lindley and arrange to cover the blank dates. The cut off date for this will be 21st June 2009 after which time any club championship points accrued will be forfeited and the points tables re-calculated.

There has been, over the last few club timetrials, a tendency for riders to turn up late to events and attempt to sign on, and even race without wearing a number. With immediate effect any rider wishing to take part in a club time trial must sign on 10 minutes before the event is due to start. No riders will be allowed to start the event unless they are wearing a fluorescent number as per CTT Regulation 16. Time keepers should also be aware of this.

Jeremy Guy is intending to step down as the club secretary after doing a fantastic job for many years. He is looking for a replacement that can shadow him for the coming season and take over from the end of the 2009 season.

Eamonn Deane of Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers has been in touch to let us know that he has now qualified as a sports and remedial massage therapist. He is offering his services to club members and has sent over a flyer which gives all of the details here.
